Bills Lake

Jack and Naomi Robinson
According to grandson David Perkins (who provided these pictures in the summer of 2009), Jack and Naomi Robinson of Trenton, Ohio rented a Bruce Brown cottage (later named the Rainbow Cottages) for years before purchasing one of their own sometime in the 1950s. This cottage is now the smaller one of the two owned by the Bakers in the Erie Zone and is located next to Betty Olson. Jerry Heyboer, who lives in one the Rainbow Cottages, remembers Jack as the epitome of a Southern gentleman. Larry Swift referred to him as "Papa Jack." David fondly remembers spending summers -- and occasional winter weekends -- with his grandparents at Bills Lake in the '60s.
